Legal issues of importance to administrators employed in Maine are studied as well. School law topics include Federal law, state law of concern to the school administrator, teacher and student rights, special education, civil rights, school finance, and district liability. Students will have the opportunity to analyze case studies of personal interest. The course also has a focus on best practices and proactive leadership to prevent litigation.
