EDPQ 575 Ethical Decision Making
This course is designed to provide educational leaders with an in-depth study of the current and anticipated ethical issues and dilemmas facing schools within our changing culture and society. Through readings, discussions, and case analysis, future educational administrators will receive an overview of educational policymaking at local, state, and national levels, and of the ethical and legal principles that can influence the process. This course will increase awareness and knowledge of the philosophical and ethical legal issues facing today’s complex educational system. Students taking this course will craft a reflective framework for considering moral and ethical considerations that are currently at stake in the field. Addressing these ethical issues will lead to the academic success of all students including those with learning disabilities and those who come from culturally diverse backgrounds.
