Check out our new six minute video demo https://www.maineeducator.com///course-demo that walks you through step-by-step how to register for a course, participate in group discussions, instructions and assignments, and how to pass in your work. This demo has been designed to give teachers and school administrators an opportunity to explore MEC’s online courses to experience how they work and also what a valuable tool these courses can be.
This short video is packed with detailed information to make your experience easy. First, you are shown how to register for a course through our secure registration provider called 1-2-3 Sign Up. Once your complete your registration process you will be given a conformation email that will include the start date for your selected course, a list of texts and any required instructions, and an itemized bill. If your school administration is covering your tuition then this itemized bill may be submitted to the appropriate personnel.
Two weeks before your course begins you will receive an email from our director with instructions and a web address for your course through Moodle. The director will also assign you a username and password so that you may access your Moodle account. There will also be a demo course provided to give you an opportunity to explore how to use Moodle and also to give you a sense of what to expect form your selected course. This demo will include information for what you will need for each week of your classes such as assignments, readings and class discussions. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with how Moodle works therefore making your first day of class smooth sailing.
Please make sure to take a look at our calendar of classes and register before the deadlines.
